Matt Ryan, who represents Ward 5 on Conshohocken’s Borough Council, formally resigned at tonight’s Borough Council meeting. Borough Council now has 30 days to fill the seat through an appointment.
According to the Times Herald, interested applicants need to submit a letter of interest and resume to the Borough by August 28th. Members of Borough Council will then interview applicants the week of September 7th and then make an appointment at a September 16th meeting.
To qualify for the appointment, you need to have lived in the Borough for a year and be a current resident of Ward 5. Above is a map, If you are wondering if you live in Ward 5.
The appointment will be short. The seat is up for election in November and the appointed person will serve just into the New Year.
