Where camps fit in the reopening process still undecided

We have received a few questions about whether summer camps will fall within the yellow or green phase in the governor’s plan for reopening the state. We asked Nate Wardle, press secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Health, for clarification on the issue. Below is his response:

Either the Governor or Secretary said earlier this week that summer camps are still something they are working to determine, but obviously these involve more of a mass gathering and are difficult to social distance.

So as of now, they do not know.

We did have someone tell us from within the camp community that there is supposed to be guidance provided by the state on May 8th.

More to come.
