Wacky Wednesdays Kick-Off at Southern Cross Kitchen with “A Night in Napa” – Updated with New Date

Southern Cross Kitchen is kicking off its all new Wacky Wednesdays on January 22nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with “A Night in Napa.” Please note that due to the recent snow storm, this event is postponed until Tuesday, January 28th.  The evening will feature small plates matched with three wine pairings from California’s Napa Valley. The cost is $25.00 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Below are the small plates and the pairings:

Shrimp Hush Puppy cheddar, corn, shrimp, avocado cream dipping sauce
Paired with Franciscan Chardonnay; vibrant fresh pear and citrus flavors with a mouth-filling, creamy, round palate

Southern Biscuit country ham, cheddar biscuit, grainy butter mustard, caramelized apple
Paired with Robert Mondavi Pinot Noir; sleek, yet substantial with the beautiful scent of ripe black cherry, wild berries, violet, warm gingerbread and clove, with traces of allspice

Mac N’ Cheese Spoons braised short rib, parmesan, asiago, cheddar cheeses
Paired with Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon; powerful, rich, and textured notes of dark cherry, ripe plum,
caramel, and vanilla weave an intense, voluminous mouthfeel accented by hints of anise and mocha

Upcoming Wacky Wednesdays will include a Southern Swap on January 29th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:000 p.m. where you are invited to clean out your closet and enjoy a swap out Southern Cross Kitchen.  Proceeds will go to a local charity.  On National Pancake Day on February 5th, Southern Cross Kitchen will feature breakfast for dinner and on February 12th there will be a singles event.  Stay tuned for more details.
