As we reported last week, a shooting victim was discovered at the Lukoil at Ridge Pike and Colwell Lane. At the time there were conflicting reports if it involved one or two people. It is now confirmed as one. Below is a press release from the District Attorney’s Office of Montgomery County that details how the shooting victim, who ended up dying, ended up at the Lukoil:

Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman and Norristown Borough Police Chief Mark E. Talbot Sr. announce the joint investigation into a homicide which occurred in the 1200 block of Locust Street in Norristown Borough.

On Monday, April, 6, 2015 at 8:52 PM the Norristown Borough Police Department responded to the 1200 block of Locust Street for a reported shooting. Arriving officers located fired shell casings and other evidence at the scene.

During the investigation, a male shooting victim was located inside a vehicle in Plymouth Township. The victim was transported to Mercy Suburban Hospital and pronounced dead.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending family notification.

The Norristown Borough Police Department and the Montgomery County Detective Bureau are investigating this homicide. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Norristown Borough Police Department at 610 270- 0977 or Montgomery County Detective Bureau 610 278-3368.
