Three Upcoming Candidate Forums for County Commissioner Candidates

The Montgomery County Republican Committee is holding three forums for those running for County Commissioner.

The first is scheduled for Wednesday, February 6th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the East Greenville Fire Company at 401 Washington Street in East Greenville.

The second is scheduled for Tuesday, February 19th at 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars at 2519 Jenkintown Road in Glenside. This forum will be moderated by Dom Giordano of WPHT 1210 AM.

The third is scheduled for Thursday, February 28th at 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Upper Merion Township at 175 W Valley Forge Road in King of Prussia

We reached out to Joe Graeff, political director of the Montgomery County Democratic Committee, for details on any similar events on the Democratic Party side, but did not receive a response back.

We asked current County Commissioner Joe Gale (R), who is running on a ticket with his brother Sean Gale, if he planned to participate in the forums and received the following response:

I made a pledge to put people before politics which means my attendance at community and county events gets first priority over political events hosted by the GOP Establishment. If my schedule permits, I’ll attend the forums.

Currently announced candidate on the Republican side, in addition to the Gales, are:

  • Merry Woods, a Montgomery County Jury Commissioner
  • Dean Eisenberger, a former Council member in Plymouth Township
  • France Krazalkovich, a current Commissioner in Upper Pottsgrove Township
  • Fred Conner, a current Supervisor in Whitpain Township
  • Jim Dailey, a former Commissioner in Springfield Township

On the Democratic side the only candidates we are aware of are current Commissioners Val Arkoosh and Ken Lawrence.
