Rita Stowell, who is a former Conshohocken resident and now lives in Plymouth Meeting, and her daughter, Plymouth Meeting resident Renee Tutt, have opened the Untapped Artist at 316 East Johnson Highway in East Norriton (it is just down Johnson Highway from Plymouth Country Club). The pair are mother and daughter. The studio provides amateur artists the opportunity to paint a piece of art on canvas in a fun atmosphere. An instructor takes you through the process step-by-step, plus you can bring snacks, wine and other beverages.
You can sign-up on your own, in a group, or reserve the private studio for your own event. The studio also offers classes for kids and families. The cost is $35.00 per person and includes everything you need.
Each class focuses on a specific piece of art, so when you register for a class, make sure the class is going to be painting the one you want to hang in your living room.
Below are a few of the upcoming classes and the paintings designated for the classes:
Friday, December 12 – 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
