It has been about seven months since Nabin Chhantyal took over the 401 Diner and transformed it into 401 Diner/Nirvana. During breakfast and lunch hours, you still find the classic American breakfast dishes, but at lunch they add in an Indian buffet and at dinner the space is exclusively a modern Indian BYOB (click link and scroll to bottom to see Indian menu).
Chhantyal says that the merger of the two concepts is going well. A diner has been located at 401 Fayette Street for decades, so he wanted to honor the tradition of people in Conshohocken enjoying their breakfast at the location. Conshohocken did not have an Indian restaurant, so it was also a great addition to the local dining scene.
Their dining schedule is breakfast seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (3:00 p.m. on the weekend), Indian brunch buffet on Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Indian dinner menu seven days a week from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday). On Saturday and Sunday they do not offer the Indian lunch buffet, but do have an Indian lunch special available.
