Stormwater Management Plan to Be Presented on June 16th in Whitemarsh

The City of Philadelphia and the Montgomery County Planning Commission are going to present the final report of the Wissahickon Watershed Act 167 Stormwater Management Plan. This plan is designed to reduce flooding, improve stream water quality and protect stream habitat through environmentally friendly stormwater management practices. A key product of the plan is a watershed-based stormwater ordinance that controls stormwater runoff resulting from development or redevelopment. The plan also assists municipalities with meeting their stormwater permit requirements.

The public hearing is scheduled for Monday, June 16, 2014, at the Whitemarsh Township Building at 616 Germantown Pike in Lafayette Hill. The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m.
