The Spring Mill Farmers’ Market opens for the year on Sunday, May 8th at the corner of East Hector and Lee Streets in Conshohocken. The market will be held every Sunday going forward from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The market is a partnership between MoreThanTheCurve.com and Greener Pastures.
This year we have new and returning vendors that we want to introduce or reintroduce to our readers (and hopefully visitors to the market). First up is a new vendor, Soil and Sun Farm, which specializes in heirloom and unusual varieties of vegetables, herbs, and flowers. The farm’s seedlings are ready for transplanting into your garden, and are sold at optimal planting time, so you will find different types of plants throughout the spring into summer.
Sun and Soil Farm’s Kate Shepard chooses varieties for taste, productivity, and suitability for growing in the Philadelphia area’s climate. For people with space restrictions, you will will find varieties that are particularly suited for container gardening, and ready-made herb and lettuce mix containers.
This year we are partnering with Yoga Home to bring outdoor yoga to the Spring Mill Farmers’ Market. Kerri and Maura from Yoga Home shared:
At Yoga Home, we are committed to extending our practice beyond the studio doors. For us, this includes making sustainable and responsible choices for our bodies and the environment.
We are thrilled to be an official sponsor of Spring Mill Farmer’s Market. a partnership that gets you outside, supports local farms and promotes healthy eating! From Memorial Day through Labor Day we’ll be offering $5 Community Yoga classes, every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. What a great start to your Sunday!
