Returning to the Spring Mill Farmers’ Market for its second season is Cardinal Hollow Winery from West Point, PA (just outside Lansdale). The winery offers a wine tasting every week at the market and sells a variety of its wines by the bottle. The market opens on Sunday, May 8th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Last year two popular bottles were the jalapeno wine made from 100% jalapenos and no grapes. Cardinal Hollow promises “it won’t burn your eyes or your lips but it is warm.” This wine is a 2011 San Francisco Silver Medal award winner.
The second popular bottle was the Whikey Mead, which is made with 100% Pennsylvania wildflower honey that is fermented in old Kentucky whiskey barrels for over a year. Cardinal Hollow suggests to serve it with BBQ foods like a rack Of ribs, roasted chicken and leg of lamb.
This year we are partnering with Yoga Home to bring outdoor yoga to the Spring Mill Farmers’ Market. Kerri and Maura from Yoga Home shared:
At Yoga Home, we are committed to extending our practice beyond the studio doors. For us, this includes making sustainable and responsible choices for our bodies and the environment.
We are thrilled to be an official sponsor of Spring Mill Farmer’s Market. a partnership that gets you outside, supports local farms and promotes healthy eating!
