Southern Cross Kitchen entered its “The Cross” burger in the Battle of the Burger run by Philadelphia magazine. Due to its finishing in the Top 25 on online voting, Southern Cross Kitchen was invited to the finals at the Piazza at Schmidt’s on September 6th. At the event, participants were allowed to taste all 25 burgers and vote. “The Cross” finished second.
“The Cross” is made with a combination of andouille sausage, pecans and and ground beef. It is served with gruyere cheese, crispy bacon, fried pickles, fried egg, lettuce, tomatoes and spicy sriracha dijonaise.
