Save the Date for three events on Saturday, May 16th. The day starts at 9:00 a.m. with the Backyard Games at the Plymouth Swim Club and organized by the King of Prussia Social Club. The format is still being tweaked, but it is a kickball tournament with consolation rounds of volleyball, 3-point shot contest and giant jenga. Teams will consist of 10-12 players.
The Backyard Games will also feature cornhole and horseshoe tournaments for teams of two to four players. The Backyard Games will end by 3:00 p.m.
Starting at 1:00 p.m., MoreThanTheCurve.com’s Summer Kick-Off & Reggae Jam starts with the opening of Plymouth Swim Club’s three pools. Ticket holders are invited to bring their own lawn chairs and beach blankets and spread out around the pools. There is plenty of room. Starting at 2:00 p.m. the beer garden opens and Moses Livingston and the Ragamuffins take the stage. Food will be available from Flanigan’s Boat House and Mucho Beuno. This event will end at 5:00 p.m.
That evening the Philadelphia Fight Rugby League Club will be getting ready for the final rounds of its annual International 9’s Tournament (which actually runs all day). Starting at 5:00 p.m. there will be a beer garden at the tournament and Conshy Girls Catering will be on hand serving food.
Registration for the Backyard Games and tickets for the Summer Kick-Off and the 9’s Tournament will be available the first week of March. These events are all 21-and-up only.
