Salon & Spa by Kimberly Gider is seeking zoning relief to move from the 900 block of Fayette Street to the former Pasta Via building on the 800 block of Fayette Street. Gider has purchased the building.
Within the Residential/Office zoning district, which hugs Fayette Street between 8th Avenue and the Whitemarsh border at 12th Avenue, any retail type use requires a special exception. There is a virtual zoning hearing scheduled for June 21st at 7:00 p.m. The application and details on how to attend the meeting can be found here (starting with page 70).
Gider shared with MoreThanTheCurve.com that she will open at the new location by the end of 2021. The current salon is operating like normal.
