Replacement Bridge Over Plymouth Creek on Plymouth Road to Cost $2 Million Plus

The Times Herald published an article earlier this month in follow-up to the story on the sink holes shutting down a portion of Plymouth Road. According to the article, a new bridge is needed and it is going to cost $2 to $3 million, which will come out of the commonwealth’s highway funds. The process to put out a bid and select a contractor has also been sped up due to the necessity of replacing the bridge as quickly as possible. Plymouth Township has also waived a rule that prevents construction overnight, so if the eventual vendor wants to work 24 hours, it will be possible.
