Plymouth Township taking initial steps toward a potential single-use plastics ban

During the April 11th meeting of Plymouth Township’s Council, Councilmember Lynne Viscio provided details about the Plymouth Township Environmental Advisory Board investigating ways to
reduce the use of single-use plastics in the township.

In the Borough of Ambler, its council moved to prohibit the use of single-use plastics, however, decided to delay the action. There was pushback from local businesses and the community on taking such action while businesses were impacted by the pandemic.

The township’s environmental advisory board is seeking the public’s input on the issue. You can find the form to complete here.
