This past Saturday night a Daniel Villaloz, Jr. of Philadelphia was arrested in Conshohocken after a police officer approached his parked vehicle on the 900 block of Maple Street and noticed several weapons in the car. An eventual search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of drugs and drug paraphernalia. From the Times Herald:
Daniel Villaloz Jr., 31 was taken into custody after two vials of marijuana, three vials of mushrooms, two bags of crystal methamphetamine, four packets of heroin and a semi-automatic handgun were found in his Ford Explorer.
According to the criminal complaint, an officer noticed an SUV with fluorescent colored headlights shining, parked in the 900 block of Maple Street. The officer approached the vehicle and noticed the pistol wedged between the driver’s seat and the center console, a collapsible baton on the driver’s side door and a silver axe attached to the passenger’s side of the center console. There were reportedly knives strewn about the vehicle.
Moments later, the officer observed Villaloz enter the SUV, and florescent lights began shining from the vehicle’s wheels. The officer conducted a traffic stop and discovered the drugs, a scale with white crystal residue, a pipe of the type commonly used to smoke methamphetamine and $600 in various denominations.
Villaloz was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of an instrument of crime and additional related offenses. He couldn’t post the $10,000 bail and was remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
