Our visit to two local stores on Friday afternoon

Are people loading up with cleaning supplies in our area due to the Coronavirus? Yesterday, we went to Target in Plymouth Meeting and the Weis Markets in East Norriton just for some normal day-to-day things.

While at Target at 1:00 p.m. we noticed two ladies loading up on disinfectant wipes (pictured above). We inquired if they were doing it for personal reasons or for their job, and they said they worked at a medical facility and its supplier didn’t have any in stock.

The DailyMail in the United Kingdom published a photo yesterday from the Target in Plymouth Meeting that shows a bare cleaning supply aisle.

One other thing we noticed at Target was that they had, based on our experience, an unusually high number of people stocking shelves during the 20 minutes we were there.

While at Weis Markets in East Norriton we checked the cleaning supply aisle. The shelves were full and Chlorox disinfectant wipes were on-sale for 2 for $5. That was around 4:00 p.m.

Let us know in the comments what you have noticed about the supply of cleaning items at local stores.
