William Danitz, Jr., whose family owned the original 401 Diner in Conshohocken, announced today via his Facebook page that he will soon be serving the 401 Diner’s breakfast at Pudge’s. Please note that Pudge’s is not going away, it is just adding a breakfast with Danitz’s involvement.

Do you remember the great Breakfasts the original 401 Restaurant used to serve?

Remember that good old fashioned home cooked flavor? The homemade Pancakes?…..and of course those Home fries??

Well, in the next month or so I will be serving your favorite 401 Breakfast at Pudges!

Yes, I will be Cooking breakfast just like years ago at 401 Fayette Street. Same place same Cook, just a different name.

I invite all of my former Customers and friends to come on over and have a taste of yesteryear.

We caught wind about a week ago that something was up involving breakfast at Pudge’s due to a help wanted advertisement.

Danitz last served breakfast at the diner at 401 Fayette Street in 1999. He sold it to another operator, which lasted over a decade. It then continued under a new owner for a couple years as a breakfast place before it became an Indian restaurant. That lasted about a year and then Pudge’s took the space. Breakfast was part of the original plan for Pudge’s. Bringing in Danitz will give its new breakfast menu immediate credibility.
