As MoreThanTheCurve.com has reported previously, a Guy Fieri Flavortown Kitchen page popped up during November on Seamless with a Plymouth Meeting address.
We surmised that it would be a virtual kitchen offering delivery only out of an established restaurant’s kitchen or a commercial kitchen. The exact address on the Seamless page was for the Plymouth Meeting Mall, but a representative of the mall had not heard of it.
That leads us to a Bloomberg.com article from today that confirms that Fieri is opening almost 200 virtual restaurants that will only offer delivery. From Bloomberg.com:
The host of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives has also produced a documentary, Restaurant Hustle 2020, spotlighting the challenges the industry continues to face. It airs on the Food Network in December, which is also when the self-appointed mayor of Flavortown opens his delivery-only chain, Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Kitchen, in almost 200 locations, including Los Angeles and Minneapolis. Dishes include the Real Cheezy burger, which comes with Fieri’s signature donkey sauce.
While the above doesn’t mention Plymouth Meeting specifically, based on all of the limited information we have, it looks like sometime this month the Seamless page should go live.
More to come.
