Moody’s Investors Service has assigned an initial Aaa rating to Whitemarsh Township, PA’s General Obligation Bonds, Series of 2018. Additionally, the rating carries a stable outlook. According to Moody’s, the rationale of the rating is as follows:
The Aaa rating reflects the township’s strong financial profile with ample reserves which have been maintained while funding capital improvements. Additionally, the rating reflects the township’s large and affluent tax base which has exhibited steady growth, a debt burden that is below-average and a manageable pension liability.
