Montgomery County clinics now offering COVID-19 vaccine to 12 to 15-year-olds

The Montgomery County Office of Public Health announced today that it is offering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to people aged 12-15 at county-run vaccine clinics. Anyone under the age of 18 seeking to be vaccinated at a county clinic must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 

Montgomery County is currently administering the Pfizer vaccine for those aged 12 and older and the Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccine for those aged 18 and older. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine has not been authorized for those under the age of 18. Anyone under the age of 18 who registers for or walks up to a clinic only offering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be turned away.  

To make a vaccine appointment, Montgomery County residents can visit Appointments are recommended but not required. Walk-ups are accepted at any clinic. Transportation to vaccine appointments at Montgomery County vaccination clinics is available at no cost to the rider and calling ahead is encouraged.
