Matt Mullin, a sports reporter/web producer for PhillyVoice.com, recently live tweeted a visit to the Wawa on Butler Pike in Conshohocken. Why? Once parked, Mullin realized the guy in the van next to him was chugging from a fifth of vodka. This was last Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
Below is the series of tweets:
Twitter fam, help me. Just pulled in at Wawa in Conshy and guy in driver seat of van next to me is chugging a fifth of vodka. Do I snitch?

I called the cops. Waiting for them to show up before I can go eat my lunch. Didn’t plan on being this involved, but had to do something.

Wouldn’t have been able to live with myself if this guy hits somebody and I could’ve prevented it. Hopefully they find him.

And this isn’t a “I was out and thought I was under the limit” first time kinda thing. It’s 2:30 on a Wednesday. Guy needs help.

So if you see a red Ford conversion van with Georgia plates (starting with PYN-), keep your distance. The guy driving is currently drunk.

OK, so I saw a cop drive through the parking lot but he didn’t stop to ask me anything. I’m going to head home. I left them my # in case.

And thus concludes my first trip out of the apartment since — I kid you not — Friday afternoon. I was in bed with the flu last 4+ days…

We emailed Mullin to find out the final outcome of the situation. He stated:
I don’t know if they ever caught him. He was pulling out of the lot by the time I looked up the phone number and made the call, so it was slim chances to begin with. But I figured I’d give them a heads up anyway…
