Light Parker Closing – What is Next

Light Parker has announced it is closing its doors at West First Avenue and Fayette Street in Conshohocken. The store currently has signage advertising it is having a closing sale.

There has been a lot of speculation about what will replace the furniture store. You might remember we posted this story a few weeks ago involving a grocery store interested in Conshohocken. The interest is still active.

Another local media outlet posted that it will be a Whole Foods. The Whole Foods Market in Plymouth Meeting is 3.7 miles away. Whole Foods Markets’ also average 38,000 square feet. The Light Parker space is no where near that big. Doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Whole Foods Market does have a new brand, 365, which are smaller stores. But again, is it going to open one so close to an existing sister store?

Everything you read until someone from Light Parker or a grocery store makes an announcement is just speculation. Stay tuned.
