Lafayette Hill resident Shawanna James-Coles’ story of batting non-alcoholic fatty liver disease was featured on 6ABC Action News on Friday.
James-Coles is the director of diversity, equity, inclusion, and education at the Centennial School District in Bucks County. Faculty and students within the district have worked to fundraise and bring awareness to the disease.
There is an event on Sunday, October 24th at 8:00 a.m. at the pavilion at Miles Park. Everyone who wants to attend is encouraged to wear green, the color of liver disease awareness.
