It was widely reported on July 14th that a bankruptcy judge in New Jersey approved the sale of the majority of the assets of Conshohocken-based David’s Bridal which entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April. The bridal store company is being acquired by CION Investment Corp of New York which plans to continue to operate 195 of the current 297 stores and retain 7,000 of the company’s current 10,000 employees. The current CEO James Marcum and the management team will also be retained.
What has not yet been reported is whether the company will continue to be based in Conshohocken (Whitemarsh Township) or whether the headquarters will be relocated elsewhere. The company’s headquarters was recently listed for sale.
