On Wednesday night, Borough Council agreed to seek proposals for the collection of trash and recyclables within the Borough.  Conshy owns and operates its own collection trucks.  West Conshy and Whitemarsh both utilize a private service.  It is not uncommon for municipalities, that handle its own trash/recyclables collection, to seek such proposals every few years to investigate whether it is saving money by handling its own collection.
