Has a Helicopter Woken You Up?

MoreThanTheCurve.com has received a handful of messages regarding the recently opened helipad along the river.  According to reports, a helicopter landed or took off at 11:45 p.m. on a Sunday night.  I know there is a limit to how many flights are permitted per month, but I emailed the Borough to find out if flights are limited to certain days and times.  I have not heard back yet (it wasn’t a hard question).

Here is the text from one of the emails I received:

I’m a resident at the Londonbury, and I figured I would share this with you.  My apartment sits on the top floor and faces the river, and thus faces the new helipad.  Over the past couple of days, helicopters have been landing and taking off from the new helipad right in my backyard.  It was pretty neat to see it the first couple of times, but it gets incredibly loud and disruptive.  Last night, one landed and took off around 11:30pm.  It woke me right up, as it sounded like a jet was literally about to fly through the wall.

The photos included are from the person who emailed me the above.  Has anyone else had this type of experience?
