On Friday, June 29 the four parks in Conshohocken are scheduled to be treated with chemicals to help control the mosquito population. The parks are:
- Sutcliffe Park
- Haines and Salvati Memorial Park
- 2nd Avenue Meadows
- Aubrey Collins Memorial Park
Chemical Exterminating Co. is the vendor completing the treatments. The treatments will begin at at Sutcliffe Park in the early morning with the other parks being treated throughout the day. Signs announcing the treatment will be placed at each park 48 hours prior to treatment.
According to a release from the Borough, it is advised that the public exercise caution and avoid the areas that have been treated for two hours while the chemicals dry and, most importantly, when the exterminator is on site.
