War on the Shore IX in Avalon NJ is one of the largest and most popular events of the summer on the Jersey shore and will be held this year on August 3 at Jacks in Avalon. It raises money for the Penn State Dance Marathon and Four Diamonds fund to support pediatric cancer research and to assist families with cancer stricken children.

To get things started on the right foot, Conshy’s Penn Staters are rallying together with a Kick-Off Party at Spamps Restaurant the week before. Led by a couple of Penn State graduates who own restaurants in Conshy, Brian Pieri of The StoneRose and Marcie Spampinato of Spamps) the goal of the event to bring everyone together for a great time and do what Penn Staters do best, raise money for a good cause.  So crack out your Blue and White, grab your fellow Penn Staters and friends of Penn State head to Spamps on Wednesday, July 24th from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The cost is a 25.00 donation at the door (all goes to Four Diamonds Fund) and gets you your first free.  There will also be great raffle items and food and drink specials.
