Yesterday we reported that there was a hearing Wednesday evening for a waiver of off-street parking for El Limon at 128 Fayette Street, which is across the street and up the block from its location near the corner of East 1st Avenue and Fayette. During the hearing we learned that the owners of El Limon are planning to open a second restaurant under a different name in the former furniture store. El Limon will remain open as it is.
One of the owners stated during the hearing that they hope to have the new restaurant open in five to six months.
There wasn’t a vote last night, but we can’t remember any of these waivers being not approved. It will be voted on in two weeks at the next meeting of borough council.
