El Limon Before Zoning Hearing Board on August 30th

As MoreThanTheCurve.com has reported, El Limon is moving just around the corner to the former Ted’s Pizza. It looks like the restaurant hopes to expand into the house attached to the restaurant and that is going to require obtaining a ‘special exception” from the Zoning Hearing Board. The restaurant also needs relief for parking requirements and signage.

The hearing is scheduled for Thursday, August 30th at 7:00 p.m. at Conshohocken’s Borough Hall at West 4th and Fayette.

Here is the text from the notice:

The Petitioner is requesting a Special Exception under the terms of the Conshohocken Zoning Ordinance Section 703 (E) (6); and Variances from Sections 27-2002 and 27-2106.

The Petitioner proposes to expand the non-conforming restaurant use into an additional room in the building requiring a special exception. Additional parking for the expansion is required. A sign exceeding the permitted size in a residential district and different than the existing non-conforming sign is requested.

El Limon has a note on its door encouraging its patrons to attend and show support:
