Dogfish Head Brewing Raison d’Bibo at Fingers Wings & Other Things on February 25th

Fingers Wings & Other Things is holding a tap takeover on Wednesday, February 25th titled Dogfish Head Brewing Raison d’Bibo. All beers will be tapped at noon and the event gets rolling at 6:00 p.m. with food, flights and prizes. Below are the beers being featured:

120 minute, 2015 (15-20% ABV) – Imperial IPA
120 minute is boiled for a full two hours while being continuously hopped with high-alpha American hops, then dry-hopped daily in the fermenter for a month and aged for another month on whole-leaf hops.

Black & Blue, 2012 (10.0% ABV) – Belgian Style Golden Ale

Black & Blue is a Belgian-style golden ale fermented with pureed black raspberries and blueberries.

Raison d’Extra (15-18% ABV) – Belgian Style Dark Ale

This liquid mahogany Belgian-style strong dark ale is DFH’s Raison D’Etre, with a little extra, hence the name. This immodest brew, made with an obscene amount of malt, brown sugar and raisins, takes Belgian-style browns to new heights.

Bitches Brew (9% ABV) – Imperial Stout
Originally released in honor of the 40th anniversary of the original release of Bitches Brew by Miles Davis. This dark viscous treat is a fusion of three parts imperial stout and one part tej, an African mead, or honey beer with gesho root. Coffee, molasses, and chocolate flavors swirl on the tongue and finish with a rich, floral sweetness that blankets the tongue like a warm down comforter.

American Beauty (9.0% ABV) – Imperial IPA
For this dedication to The Grateful Dead, more than 1,500 loyal fans of the brewery and band suggested an ingredient idea. The result is this Imperial IPA brewed with all-American malts and hops, granola and little bit of soul. It’s malty with a big hop kick. Notes of toasted almond and honey round out the flavor profile and balance out the hop bitterness.

Piercing Pils (6% ABV) – Pilsener
A Perry-Pils hybrid, Piercing Pils is a Czech Style Pilsner brewed with White Pear Tea and Pear Juice. Both the juice and the tea were added in the kettle during the whirlpool for maximum flavor and aroma contribution. The Pear fruit complexity pierces right through the spicy Czech Saaz hops beautifully, adding a gentle acidity to this pale lager that makes for a crisp refreshing sipper. Amarillo hops add nuanced citrus notes that meld perfectly with the fruit.
