The 2016 Democratic National Convention will be held at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia from July 25th to July 28th and two delegations to the convention will be staying at the Philadelphia Marriott West in West Conshohocken. According to an article in the Philadelphia Inquirer, the delegations from Mississippi and the District of Philadelphia have been assigned to the hotel. From the Inquirer:
Area hotels will house about 6,000 delegates over the course of the convention, which runs from July 25-28. The committee took delegations on tours of various hotels in the fall and asked for them to rank their top choices. On Wednesday the committee assigned 57 state delegations to 26 hotels in Philadelphia and Valley Forge.
During the Convention week, state delegations use their hotels as a base of operations, where they hold breakfasts, meetings, receptions and news conferences.
Mississippi will have 41 delegates and three alternates at the convention. The District of Columbia will have 37 delegates and two alternates.
