Conshy Corner Tavern Taking It Outside for its Rib Contest on June 5th

The Conshy Corner Tavern’s Rib Contest will be held on Sunday, June 5th from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The event features backyard cooks and restaurants competing for who has the best ribs. To attend there is a $10 donation to the Beats for Bella Foundation. This donation gets you food including ribs from the contest, pull pork sandwiches and chili dogs. This is an outdoor event. Jones Street, between Spring Mill Avenue and East Hector Street, will be closed.

In addition to all the great food, The Boatloads will be playing, there is a free photo booth, raffle baskets, draft truck and Jim Beam drinks (Jim Bean is donating $1.00 to Beats for Bella for every Jim Beam drink sold).

Beats for Bella was named for a Conshohocken girl who was diagnosed with a severe congenital heart defect, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, in 2012 prior to her birth during her 20 week ultrasound. Ever since receiving this devastating news, her family’s mission is to create awareness for congenital heart defects as they are still the #1 birth defect in all babies.
