Conshohocken’s soap box derby canceled due to pandemic

The Conshohocken Soap Box Derby has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The committee that organizes the long running Conshohocken Soap Box Derby posted the following statement yesterday:

For the safety of all our racers, families, and volunteers we have decided to cancel this year’s July 4th Soap Box derby race. We have come to this decision for the safety of everyone. We look forward to seeing everything next year. Stay safe.

The 2019 edition of the derby was its 68th consecutive race. It has been held annually on July 4th.
