Conshohocken-based Pediatric Therapeutic Services received a bronze award from the internationally renowned Edison Awards in the category of lifestyle and social impact – human services. The awards, inspired by Thomas Edison’s persistence and inventiveness, have recognized innovation, creativity and ingenuity in the global economy since 1987. They honor innovations that are at the forefront of new product and service development, marketing and human-centered design, and are one of the highest accolades a company can receive in the name of successful innovation.
“It’s exciting to see companies like PTS Inc. continuing Thomas Edison’s legacy of challenging conventional thinking,” said Frank Bonafilia, Edison Awards’ executive director. “Edison Awards recognizes the game-changing products and services, and the teams that brought them to consumers.”
Award winners were announced April 23rd at the Edison Awards Annual Gala held in New York City. “It was incredibly exciting and humbling to be in the company of so many world-changing innovators, including 3M, Motorola, Google and Pepsi,” said PTS Managing Partner Pam Hackett (pictured above). “PTS has made a significant investment in technology that brings a new level of transparency and financial accountability to special education services. We are proud to be recognized for the way our BudgetWatchTM technology enables us to improve related services for special-need students while controlling costs for school districts.”
Edison Award nominees are judged by more than 3,000 senior business executives and academics from across the nation whose votes acknowledge the finalists’ success in meeting the award’s stringent criteria of quality.
