Conshohocken Resident Gets 5 to 15 Years for Local Burglary

The Times Herald reports that 24 year old Conshohocken resident Corey Phinizy was sentenced to five to 15 years in prison for breaking into a home in Conshohocken in October of 2013. Phinizy was discovered in the home of a resident after hearing noise and seeing the light from a mobile phone. Phinizy was convicted of two felonies, burglary and criminal trespass.

This was not Phinizy’s first run in with the law. From the Times Herald article:

Prosecuting attorney Laura Adshead said the sentence was appropriate given the circumstances of the crime and Phinizy’s past criminal record.

Online court records show Phinizy was sentenced in 2010 to 11 ½ to 23 months in county jail for selling drugs. In 2013 he was given one year of probation after pleading guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia.
