Conshohocken Italian Bakery Gets Zoning Relief to Expand Retail Operation

At last night’s Zoning Hearing the Conshohocken Italian Bakery received the requested zoning relief to expand its retail operation to the corner of Spring Mill Avenue and Jones Street, which is currently a rental home. The bakery current has a very small retail area on Jones Street.

The new space will offer take-out opportunities for pizza pie, pastries, bread and other items, plus offer coffee. The Gambone family, which owns the bakery, does not plan to offer any type of sandwiches, because they do not want to take business away from their local wholesale costumers. There will be a few seats outside to enjoy a cannoli with your coffee.

The main questions posed by the members of the Zoning Hearing Board involved parking. The bakery owns a parking lot across Jones Street from the new retail space. Customers will be allowed to utilize this lot.

Stay tuned for details on construction and a potential opening date.
