We recently caught up with the owners and brewer from Conshohocken Brewing Company, the soon to open tap room and brewery on East Elm Street. The co-founders are John Remington, a former resident of Conshy, and Ken Buoncore. The head brewer is Andrew Horne and the ownership group also includes sports radio personality Glen Macnow, who talks a lot about the brewery on Twitter.

Horne, a Villanova graduate, recently relocated from Portland back to the are to take the position. He began his brewing career at Yards and top national breweries such as Avery and Oskar Blues. Horne recently took home a Bronze Medal at the Great American Beer Festival for his Extra Special Bitter (ESB) brewed at Breakside Brewery.
They hope to be open by Saint Patrick’s Day. This past week they worked on installing two large roll-up doors that will open onto the Schuylkill River Trail. They are also starting to meet with local bar and restaurant owners to discuss their eventually carrying their beer.
Stay tuned for more.
