Baby Born with Help of Burrito from El Limon

Matthew and Melissa Goldstein of Conshohocken emailed us this morning asking us to share the story of baby Max and the burrito. Melissa was just short of 37 weeks pregnant last week and not due until September 22nd.  On Wednesday, September 14th, Matthew came home from work and Melissa told him that she heard Mexican food helps pregnant women go into labor.  “Let’s get this baby out,” she said. Matthew thought the it was a completely ridiculous idea, but was willing to give it a try.

Long story short, they decided to go El Limon for dinner.  They ordered chips and guacamole for the table. Matthew ordered two carnitas tacos and Melissa ordered a veggie burrito with chipotle sauce. The food went to work and Melissa’s water broke at 1:00 a.m. The next morning they went to the hospital and little Max Joseph Goldstein was born. We are told that Max stops crying as soon as you wrap him up like a burrito (as pictured above). Max will be forever known as Junior Burrito.

Melissa has been a resident of Conshy for nine years and Matthew have been a resident for three-and-a-half years. The couple met at The StoneRose, hang out at Southern Cross Kitchen, and got married at Bar Lucca. We suspect El Limon will be Max’s favorite spot.
