The owners of the Spring Mill Corporate Center are seeking zoning variances to construct a 500-car parking garage on the property. We aren’t 100 percent sure, but it sounds like the parking garage would be built in the current surface parking lot that is along North Lane.
While this is on the agenda for the Zoning Hearing Board in Whitemarsh for November 5th, as it states at the bottom of the below notice, it is just to seek a continuance until January 7th.

ZHB#2014-18: IMD Eleven Hundred East Hector St., LP & Spring Mill Conshohocken, LP, Block 013, Unit 001, 1100 E. Hector Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428. The Applicants’ property contains 24.62 acres, which they propose to subdivide into two lots. Lot 1 would contain 5.556 acres and will contain parking only, until redeveloped in the future. The remainder of the property (“Residual Lot” of 19.029 acres) contains multiple office, warehouse, and related buildings as well as accessory parking and related improvements. The Applicants propose to add a 500-car parking garage on the Residual Lot. In order to proceed, the Applicant’s are requesting Variances from Section 116-148.B.(1) for the Residual Lot. This section permits a maximum building coverage of 40% whereas 48.1% is proposed. This section permits a maximum impervious ground cover of 60% whereas 79.9% is proposed. Finally, this section requires a minimum of 40% green space area whereas 20.1% is proposed. This application was originally scheduled for the Wednesday, September 3, 2014 meeting. The Applicant is requesting a continuance until the January 7, 2015 meeting.
